Chappell Roan is letting her curls be free ahead of the 2025 Grammys.
On Wednesday, January 29, Roan, 26, showed off her natural kinks and makeup-free complexion via Instagram. The singer gazed into the camera while showing off her smooth skin, bright blue eyes and dark brown arches. She let her crimson coils run wild, with strands bouncing off the top of her head and cascading down her shoulders. Roan teamed her au naturel look with a navy blue graphic sweatshirt.
In a separate snap, she put on a pair of black sunglasses and gave the camera a pout.
“It’s Grammy week. I am very emo. My heart feels warm and fuzzy with all the support I have been given this past year,” Roan captioned the post. “I hope you can understand that this has been incredible and scary and spiritual and confusing.”
Roan, who went viral in 2024 for her hits “Good Luck, Babe!”, “Casual,” “Hot to Go” and more, added: “Ultimately, I am grateful for every one of you who gave my music a little spin and showed your ass up to shows and festivals. I love the performance we’re preparing for you all.”
Roan is set to perform at the Grammys, along with more stars including Billie Eilish, Charlie XCX, Cynthia Erivo and Sabrina Carpenter.
The singer is up for several Grammys, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Good Luck, Babe!” Roan is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance for her album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Queen.
When she’s not showing off a makeup-free moment, Roan slays in drag makeup, as her signature look includes bright-blue eyeshadow, long lashes, extra rosy cheeks and red lips. If you’re anything like Us, you’re eagerly awaiting to see her Grammys glam on Sunday, February 2.
