The 2025 Grammys red carpet wouldn’t be complete without Lady Gaga, who was noticeably absent from last year’s ceremony. So when she made her much-anticipated return to music’s biggest night on Sunday, February 2, her look was well worth the wait.
Gaga was dressed in a Samuel Lewis ball gown and a Vivienne Westwood leather jacket with goth-glam vibes, plus Tiffany & Co. jewels that hit a sartorial high note.
The moment was just the latest in a long list of Gaga-licious Grammys red-carpet wins, like 2010’s lilac, galactic-glam Armani Privé gown that was truly out of this world.
She grounded the moment with gravity-defying glitter-flecked high-heel booties, which as fate would have it, would be stolen backstage, before eventually turning up on eBay.
She outdid herself the following year with a truly enigmatic entrance that would go down in Grammys history. Rather than simply walking the crimson rug, the singer was carried inside a human-size egg by a crew who, like herself, was swathed entirely in nude latex.
“Everyone calls this the egg but it’s actually a vessel that was designed by Hussein Chalayan,” Gaga later clarified in a video interview with British Vogue. Semantics aside, she still emerged from the self-described “vessel” in an egg-yolk yellow ensemble.
Tonight, Lady Gaga’s “Die With a Smile” with Bruno Mars, is up for Best Song and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Suffice it to say, she already won the 2025 Grammys red carpet.
