The first Toy Story tale, Tin Toy, is finally getting the Funko treatment. Pixar’s proof of concept short from 1988—about a sentient toy facing the nightmare of a very early CG baby (watch it on Disney+)—is the rough-diamond version of what eventually became the studio’s first feature, Toy Story, and the billion-dollar franchise that launched from it.
Tin Toy‘s main character went on to appear in a key scene in Toy Story 4 homaging the studio’s history. Today, io9 can exclusively reveal that Tin Toy will be Funko’s featured Disney release at WonderCon 2025. Talk about a super deep-cut collector’s item:

Only 5,000 Tin Toy figures will be available for the die-hard animation Funko enthusiasts at the con, which will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center March 28-30.
Additionally, there will be new Bitty Pop and Loungefly drops at WonderCon to look out for, showcasing Tron, Wreck-It Ralph, and Beauty and the Beast.
Joining the releases at the Funko booth are Disney’s Tron and Wreck-It Ralph Bitty Pop Arcade figs, which highlight the old school ’80s arcade gaming systems with tiny statues of Tron and Ralph. Loungefly will also be debuting a romantic new mini-backpack inspired by Disney Animation’s Beauty and the Beast. Take your first looks in the gallery below!
