Mick Jagger and girlfriend Melanie Hamrick enjoyed a rare public outing in Beverly Hills over the weekend.
The 81-year-old Rolling Stones frontman and longtime girlfriend Hamrick, 37, attended Chanel and Charles Finch’s annual pre-Oscars dinner in Beverly Hills on Saturday, March 1. The couple posed for photographers on the event’s red carpet, which was held at The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge.
Jagger was dressed in a silky, pink bomber jacket layered over a gray shirt and teal pants, which he accessorized with black sneakers and his classic tousled mop of hair. Hamrick, meanwhile, stunned in a strapless black dress paired with a delicate silver belt from Chanel.
While at the event, Jagger mingled with other celebrities, even posing for photos with 2025 Oscar nominees Adrien Brody and Colman Domingo, the respective stars of the movies The Brutalist and Sing Sing.
Hamrick and Jagger first met in February 2014 after a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo. Hamrick was 26 at the time and a ballerina at the American Ballet Theatre. The couple began dating the following summer and welcomed son Deveraux, 7, in 2016.
In September 2024, Hamrick told The Sunday Times that she wasn’t concerned about her and Jagger’s 44-year age difference.
“I don’t think about it,” she said at the time. “Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it.”
She added, “I put the blinders on. Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. OK, they can mind their own business.”
Jagger was already a father to seven older children from past relationships when he met Hamrick. One of his daughters, Georgia May Jagger, welcomed her first baby — and Jagger’s sixth grandchild — in October 2024.
Hamrick, for her part, retired from dance in 2019 after 15 years with the American Ballet Theatre. She has gone on to publish two novels based in the world of ballet: First Position and its follow-up, The Unraveling.
“I’ve always loved reading and writing and the few university courses I could fit into my schedule while I was dancing were focused on writing,” Hamrick exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2024. “It felt like a natural step, and with a little encouragement from my family, I was able to pursue it.”
Hamrick told Us at the time, “My whole family’s been supportive. Mick’s been super supportive. It’s always scary to change careers and hope it works. And I’ve just been really blessed.”
