We’re slowly getting closer and closer to Sinners, and Warner Bros. is starting to promote Ryan Coogler’s supernatural horror flick in earnest. On Friday, it released a baker’s dozen of character posters for the film’s principal cast, which includes Michael B. Jordan as twins Smoke and Stack (get it?), Hailee Steinfeld’s vampiric love interest Mary, and Delroy Lindo’s cool-named Delta Slim.
Most of the cast here have been featured prominently in Sinners’ marketing so far, but there’s some interesting new faces—specifically, Jo and Bert (another pair of vamps joined up with main baddie Remmick), and Bo Chow.
That’s a pretty good cast for what’s always looked like a pretty good movie, even before we officially knew what Sinners was going to be about. (According to Coogler, vampires aren’t the only thing awaiting Smoke, Stack, and everyone else who isn’t already something supernatural.) It’s also not the movie’s only marketing this week: in honor of the Blood Moon eclipse on Thursday night, WB put out another promo teasing “all sorts of people” that come out during special nights like this. No footage or anything, but the timing is nice, as is its ominous tagline of who the night belongs to.
