Alex Cooper says she is not responsible for Alix Earle’s temporary break in the podcast game.
“Hi! I see ur comments. Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell,” Cooper, 30, said via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, March 26. “IDK why she can’t/what’s going on. Unwell gave her everything back. She owns her IP.”
The “Call Her Daddy” podcast host later alluded to her own 2021 departure from Barstool Sports when she tagged its founder Dave Portnoy.
“Learned from the best @Stoolpresidente,” she added while showcasing a bottle of Unwell Hydration.
Cooper’s post came just hours after Earle, 24, revealed she would be taking a break from her “Hot Mess” podcast as she focuses on producing weekly vlogs.
“I have to put a pause on podcasting right now for the foreseeable future,” she said via TikTok on March 26. “Don’t really want to get into the details of it all, and I kind of can’t get into the details of it all right now, but I’ve loved it so, so much, and I’m really proud of what I built with the podcast.”
Earle also wanted to alert her fans and followers that she would still be staying in touch through a different platform.

“Good news is I’m gonna be putting out weekly vlogs for the foreseeable future. They’re going to be on YouTube,” she said. “We’re going to have a really good time. I’m a believer that everything happens for a reason.”
The social media personality assured loyal fans that there will be “no lack of content” as she shares a behind-the-scenes look at her life. Her most recent YouTube post chronicled an “Earle family trip” to Orlando, Florida, where they traveled to Universal Studios, Disney World and other destinations.
In February, Earle found herself making headlines after news broke that her “Hot Mess” podcast was dropped by Cooper’s Unwell Network.
At the time, eagle-eyed social media users began speculating about a possible rift between Earle and Cooper.
A source later told Us Weekly that the pair allegedly “clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.”
Both parties haven’t directly addressed the feud rumors. Earle, however, seemingly discussed her exit in a social media post.
“Obviously, there’s been a lot of chatter online this week about me and work,” Earle shared via TikTok on February 28. “I also have no idea what’s going on.”
