Beyoncé enjoyed a night out with Jay-Z and their eldest child, daughter Blue Ivy at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
The singer, 43, was joined by her family at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2, for music’s biggest night. The trio arrived to the event late and did not walk the red carpet. Beyoncé was spotted inside the venue alongside her husband, 55, and daughter, 13, when she was announced — by pal Taylor Swift — as the winner for Best Country album.
“I want to thank God. Oh, my God, that I’m able to still do what I love after so many years,” Beyoncé said in her acceptance speech. “I’d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this album. We worked so hard on it; I think sometimes ‘genre’ is a cold word to keep us in as artists, and I just want to encourage what they’re passionate about. And to stay persistent. Wow. I’d like to thank my beautiful family [and] all of the artists that were collaborators, Thank you, this wouldn’t have been this album without you. I’d like to thank God again, and my fans.”
Thanks to her March 2024, genre-bending Cowboy Carter album, Beyoncé is this year’s most-nominated artist with 11 noms across various categories. She is up for Album of the Year and Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Country Song for “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Best Pop Solo Performance for “Bodyguard,” Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Levii’s Jeans” featuring Post Malone, Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Spaghettii” featuring Linda Martell and Shaboozey, Best Country Solo Performance for “16 Carriages,” Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus and Best Americana Performance for “Ya Ya.”
The 2025 nominations made Beyoncé the most-nominated artist in Grammys history, with a whopping 99 nods to her name throughout her career.
In February 2023, Beyoncé broke another record when she became the most-awarded individual in the awards show’s history with her 32nd win, which was for Best Dance/Electronic Album for 2022’s Renaissance.
“This is an honor — because we are witnessing history,” James Corden said while presenting the award to Beyoncé at the time. “Breaking the record for the most Grammy wins of all time. Show your respect, it’s Renaissance, Beyoncé.”
Beyoncé emphasized in her acceptance speech that she was “trying not to be too emotional,” adding, “I’m trying to just receive this night.”
The following year, Jay-Z called out the Grammys for failing to ever award Beyoncé with Album of the Year despite her multiple nominations in the category, including for I Am… Sasha Fierce in 2010, Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster in 2011, Beyoncé in 2015, Lemonade in 2017, Renaissance in 2023 and Cowboy Carter in 2025.
“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has the most Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work,” Jay-Z, 55, said while accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award during the February 2024 awards show. “Think about that: The most Grammys. Never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”
