David Beckham is gushing over wife Victoria Beckham for Mother’s Day.
Americans, don’t panic — it’s Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom. “I’m so lucky to have so many incredible women around me who are the most amazing Mum’s ,” David, 49, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, March 30, alongside several photos of Victoria, 50, with their children through the years.
In his post, David gave a shout out to his own mother, Sandra Beckham, and Victoria’s mom, Jackie Adams, as well.
“I learn from you every single day ,” his caption continued. “Happy Mothers Day @victoriabeckham @sandra_beckham49 @jackie.adams_ We Love You so much
Kiddies are so lucky to have a mum like yours @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven
.”
Victoria replied to her husband in the comments, writing, “I love you all so much x u r my everything .”
The couple, who have been married since July 1999, share four children: sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in January 2020, Victoria shared that she and David are “really hands-on” parents.
“Yes, I’m up early working out, but one of us will do the school run and we always try to be home by dinnertime,” she said at the time. “We’re very strict about that when we’re in London. At 6 p.m. we are all together eating dinner [and] talking about our days. We communicate a lot.”
She continued, “When I’m at home, he’s away. [We’ve] got so many kids. It’s a lot. I always say it’s less about parenting and more about crowd control when it gets to that many. We have all the children, all four kids, bring all their friends to the house, so when we come home at the end of the day, there’s always lots and lots of children.”
A Netflix documentary series about the former model, the development of her fashion and beauty business and her balancing of work and family is expected to release on the streaming platform later this year.
“It’s gonna see her in a different light,” David said of the Netflix series at the inaugural MIP London content and networking market on February 25. “It’s gonna see the work that she puts into her business, her life, her family. There’s so many different elements of this documentary that people are going to be surprised by, the juggling that she does.”
The former Manchester United player added, “I think with Victoria, I suppose some people probably think, ‘Oh, she started a brand and it’s come very easy,’ but she’s been building this for a long time. I just think this is going to showcase that. She’s got a very witty personality — she’s very funny. Not as funny as me.”
