Denise Richards and her family are far from camera shy.
The actress first offered fans insight into her life when appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for two seasons from 2019 to 2020. Five years later, in 2025, she peeled back the curtain once again via her own Bravo reality series, Denis Richards & Her Wild Things.
Instead of drama with other women, Denise’s new show will focus on her immediate family, including husband Aaron Phypers, daughters Sami Sheen, Lola Sheen and Eloise Richards.
“After Housewives, [producer] Alex Baskin approached me and asked if I would want to do a family reality show,” Denise told Us Weekly exclusively in February 2025. “Obviously, I wanted the girls to really want to do it and I think it’s also a great time for them. They’ve always lived, basically, in the shadows of their parents where they’re the daughters of, and it’s a nice time for them to be able to be themselves and shine.”

While the girls had differing views about starring in a reality show — Sami was immediately on board, while Lola had her reservations — they both agreed to appear. Denise told Us that she really wanted the series to showcase her family for who and how they are.
“I wanted us to just live our life,” she continued. “One of the biggest things I wanted the girls to do is to just be their true, authentic self. I don’t want anything inauthentic. … I think that there’s a lot of things that a lot of people can relate to.”

Joni and Irv Richards
Denise’s parents, Joni and Irv Richards, raised her in Illinois. Her mother died in November 2007 following a cancer battle.
Michelle Richards
Michelle is Denise’s sole younger sister. In 2015, Denise posted via Instagram that Michelle, along with her family, moved to Montana.
Similar to her sister, Michelle enjoyed a career in acting, appearing in shows like The Bold and The Beautiful and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Charlie Sheen

Denise was married to Charlie from 2002 to 2006. While she was pregnant with their second daughter in 2005, Denise filed for divorce. The former couple’s messy split played out in the headlines until their divorce was finalized in November 2006.

Denise and Charlie welcomed their first daughter, Sami, in March 2004. She has made a career as a model and content creator on OnlyFans.

Denise adopted Eloise after her May 2011 birth. Eloise has a rare chromosomal disorder — Chromosome 8, Monosomy 8p — in which she has speech and development delays. Denise has spoken in the past about her husband, Phypers, going through the process to formally adopt Eloise.

The couple were first spotted out together in September 2017. They tied the knot in September 2018, with a source telling Us Weekly that Phypers had proposed in January of that year.
