Jason Kelce is torn over what he should wear — and who he should root for — at Super Bowl LIX.

“We need to get you a mom jacket [or] a jersey,” Travis Kelce told his older brother on the Wednesday, January 29, episode of their “New Heights” podcast, referring to their mom Donna Kelce’s famous split Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs clothing pieces. “We got to get a cut-and-sew action here where we can get you cheering for both teams like mom’s done, year in [and] year out.”

While Jason, 37, was down with sporting a “Donna Kelce jersey,” the idea goes against his one rule for his Super Bowl outfit. “I can’t wear red,” the former Eagles center stated. “I can’t wear it. I can’t bring myself to it.”

Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, has been faced with a similar challenge when it comes to cheering for her brother-in-law’s team. Jason hinted that even Kylie, a lifelong Eagles fan, might not be repping red at the game. Instead, Jason might opt for some of his and Travis’ podcast merch.

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is celebrating the NFL team’s NFC Championship win. “Well that was fun, these dudes are ridiculously good!” Kelce, 37, wrote via X on Sunday, January 26. “GO F——- BIRDS!!” Kelce’s shoutout came minutes after the Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders and advanced to the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday, […]

“I’m gonna wear my ‘New Heights’ Big Yeti shirt,” he said, specifying he will wear the yellow variation of the shirt — not red — which Travis, 35, supported.

The Eagles and the Chiefs won the NFC and AFC Championships, respectively, on Sunday, January 26, and will face off against each other at the Super Bowl in New Orleans next month. The game is a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl, which ended with Travis and the Chiefs defeating Jason and the Eagles.

In addition to keeping his outfit neutral, Jason clarified that he will be rooting for both teams during the big game. “Obviously, you’re my brother. I’ll always root for my brother. That’s the reality of it. All right,” he said on Wednesday’s podcast. “Even though I’m decked out in Eagles gear [at the moment], I’m always going to root for Travis.”

Jason, who retired from the NFL last year, went on to note that several people within the Eagles organization “feel like extended family to me,” adding, “No matter what on game day, I’m going to be happy for one of those sides and I’m going to be sad for the other side.”

He continued: “I would be lying if I said I don’t want the Eagles to win. You know what I mean? I want them to, but I also want Travis Kelce to win. So, that’s a long-winded way of saying I just want to see a good football game, and whoever wins, I’m going to be happy for that guy.”

Earlier in the podcast, Travis said he feels “amazing” heading into the Chiefs’ third consecutive Super Bowl. However, the idea of making history with three Super Bowl wins in a row isn’t something he and the team are focused on.

“We don’t talk about it at all. … It hasn’t been mentioned one time outside of being asked about it in the media,” he said of the potential three-peat. “Everybody in the building is just focused on doing their job. That’s how we got here. That’s how we got the first one. That’s how we got the second one. It’s the only way you win football games and get to the Super Bowl is if you focus on the task at hand and we got a huge task coming up.”

Travis also shared his excitement for the game, stating, “It’s gonna be absolutely electric. We know Philly’s got the sour taste in their mouth from the last one, and you know that they’re a hell of a f—ing football team, man. This will be the best team we play all year.”
