Despite Kenya Moore’s departure from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, fans still think she appears in the season 16 trailer.
After Bravo dropped the first look at new episodes earlier this week, social media sleuths claimed they recognized Kenya’s silhouette in one frame.
“Not me,” Kenya, 54, responded to the rumors in a Thursday, January 30, X post.
Kenya joined the cast of RHOA in 2012 and held onto a peach for six seasons. Ahead of season 16, Us Weekly confirmed in June 2024 that the Bravo star would be leaving the series. It was rumored that Kenya was suspended indefinitely after allegedly sharing explicit photos of show newcomer Brittany Eady. Kenya denied the claims.
“Nor solicited images owned by others to use to threaten or blackmail,” she wrote via X at the time. “I have always been vindicated. I can’t talk about STORY even with people planting fake news.”
Kenya later noted that her “conscience was clean” amid the apparent scandal.
“Thank you for all the support #teamtwirl. My heart is full and my conscience is clean,” Kenya wrote in a June 2024 Instagram post. “So many false claims hiding behind anonymous sources. All this conversation and no facts being reported. If a claim or source was valid, would they need to hide? The rumors and narrative about me randomly showing nudes or revenge p[orn] is 1000% untrue. I have proof and will share soon.”
Months later, Kenya exclusively told Us Weekly how she handled the fallout from the alleged drama.
“I know I’m a tough cookie,” she told Us in November 2024. “I think for me, in the history of me in this whole TV world or reality TV world, I think that what I say always comes to light. The truth always comes to light, and I’m always right. … No one wants to be in a situation where you’re painted in a way that you know isn’t the truth or is rooted in the truth.”
She continued, “No one wants to read awful things about themselves, not be able to speak up and not be able to tell your truth. I’ve learned in my age that I have survived much worse. It’s fun to be able to take anything negative and put it behind you and focus on only things that are positive.”
While the drama is now in Kenya’s rearview mirror, she hasn’t ruled out a potential reality TV return down the line.
“I never say never,” Kenya quipped. “Hell, I never say, ‘I’m not going to have another child.’ Who knows.”
Kenya shares 6-year-old daughter Brooklyn with ex-husband Marc Daly.
