Two months after becoming a mom for the first time, actress Lily Collins is celebrating her 36th birthday.
On Tuesday, March 18, Collins took to Instagram in honor of her special day.
She shared new photos of her family of three, which includes her husband of three years Charlie McDowell and her infant daughter, Tove Jane McDowell, who they welcomed into the world in January.
“First birthday as a mama and I truly couldn’t be happier or imagine it being any more special,” Collins wrote in the caption alongside the sweet photos.
“What a magical year it’s been and what a beautiful year I’m stepping into. Grateful doesn’t even begin to express how I feel,” Collins continued.
Since welcoming Tove into the world, Collins has shared several moments with her family via social media.
Earlier this month, on International Women’s Day, the actress said the holiday “hits a little different this year” now that she’s “a new girl mom.”
As a result of being a mom to Tove, Collins wrote that she’s been “thinking about little Lil a lot lately and all the generation of women who came before me–and especially this precious new generation that I now have the honor of bringing up in this world.”
“Grateful to be a woman and for all the women who got us here,” Collins added.
Shortly before that, Collins shared Tove’s first beach day, the first Phil Collins song she played for Tove, and her first Valentine’s Day.
Fans have even wondered if Tove’s middle name, Jane, pays homage to one of the song her dad wrote for her; “You’ll Be in My Heart” from the hit Disney movie Tarzan.
In 2016, while a guest on The Harry Connick Jr. Show, Collins shared that her father, Phil Collins’ wrote the song as a lullaby for her.
“We grew up watching Disney shows and movies together, so that was his way of kind of being able to do it for his kids. It was so special,” Lily said of her dad’s work.
As a result of that interview, fans began questioning if Tove’s middle name is a nod to Tarzan’s love interest, Jane.
