It’s not good news for the Street Fighter movie either, as that also loses its 2026 release window. Jack Black teases the horror foundations of the new Anaconda. Plus, Harley Quinn showrunner Dean Lorey talks hopes for a season six. To me, my spoilers!

The Mummy

Deadline reports Jack Reynor (Midsommar) has joined the cast of Lee Cronin’s The Mummy at Warner Bros. and Blumhouse in a currently undisclosed role–although one that is apparently not the titular mummy.

Saw XI

Saw XI has been officially removed from Lionsgate’s release schedule entirely, with The Strangers: Chapter 2 filling its intended September 26 date. However, Lionsgate has released the following message to THR from Jigsaw’s personal spokesman, Billy the Puppet:

I’ve seen the rumors. They say it’s Game Over. You all should know me better than that. The game is never over.

Street Fighter

Likewise, Sony has also removed Street Fighter from its 2026 release schedule just one month after finding its new director, Kitao Sakurai. [THR]

Anaconda

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jack Black promised the new Anaconda movie is “a horror film for real” with “a lot of the original [film’s] vibes in terms of the scary parts.”

It’s a lot funnier than the original, but it does have a lot of the original vibes in terms of the scary parts. It’s a horror film for real, but it’s also got some clownin’ for sure.

Harley Quinn

Speaking with Collider, Harley Quinn showrunner Dean Lorey stated he has “a pretty wonderful idea” for a potential sixth season of Harley Quinn.

We were only thinking about [the season five finale] mostly in the sense of not wanting it to feel too much like the end of the series, because we would like to do more. We realized that if the show were to end there, it was a nice ending for the show, but we have every intention of doing more, and we’ve done a lot of work figuring out what that will be. So, I hope we’ll have some exciting news soon.

Well, I hope we stop one season before the wheels fall off. There’s no overall plan. There really never has been, other than a very basic desire to keep Harley and Ivy together through thick and thin, but to allow them to grow and all that. But we do have a pretty wonderful idea for what Season 6 would be if we get so lucky. We’re excited to continue.

The Bondsman

Bloody-Disgusting also has a new poster for The Bondsman, the upcoming series starring Kevin Bacon as an undead bounty hunter.
