The spring TV schedule is overflowing with highly anticipated premieres and returns including Ransom Canyon, You, The Last of Us and more.
Ransom Canyon is Netflix’s venture into Westerns with a show based on Jodi Thomas‘ book series of the same name. In addition to drama and romance in the fictional Texas town, Ransom Canyon has also caught Us‘ eye because of the hot cowboys. From Garrett Wareing to Josh Duhamel to James Brolin to Jack Schumacher, Ransom Canyon has something for everyone — including Friday Night Lights fans looking to support Minka Kelly in a new project.
“At its core, Ransom Canyon isn’t just a town. It’s an idea. It’s the painful longing for your first love. It’s the burning desire to protect your family. It’s cowboys and lovers, grifters and thieves. Lust, deceit, heartache, home. Ransom has it all,” creator April Blair told Tudum in March 2025 about the series. “I think people are going to fall in love with this little slice of Texas and the dramas and romances that we created there.”
While Ransom Canyon is just getting started, The Handmaid’s Tale is preparing to wrap up with its sixth and final season at Hulu. Luckily, fans won’t have to say goodbye forever since the streaming service is already working on The Testaments spinoff.
