Tom Brady’s business portfolio is expanding once again after the retired quarterback acquired 50 percent of CardVault sports collectibles.
“Sports collectibles and cards have been part of my DNA since childhood, and CardVault has set the gold standard for what a modern fan experience should be,” Brady, 47, said in a press release on Wednesday February 12.
The former New England Patriots quarterback explained: “This isn’t just about buying and selling cards; it’s about curating history, building community, turning fans into collectors, and giving them access to own great moments in sports.”
Brady’s ownership stake in CardVault, a premiere sports card and memorabilia retailer, will mark a new era for the company. The new chapter will begin with a brand new name: CardVault by Tom Brady.
The seven-time Super Bowl Champion’s latest partnership will aid sports fans during a time of growth and expansion for CardVault by Tom Brady, according to the company. That includes opening a new flagship location this spring at American Dream, located next to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
CardVault by Tom Brady already has locations in Boston’s TD Garden and Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium, where the former NFL athlete played 20 seasons as the Patriots’ quarterback. A third location can be found at Foxwoods Resort Casino in nearby Connecticut.

Brady’s involvement coincides with the brand’s plan to open more stores across the U.S. and in major international markets, per the official press release.
The brand is also looking to expand its digital reach by creating “exclusive content and hosting live-streamed box breaks,” which are on-demand shopping spaces for sports cards and collectibles, according to CardVault.
“The intersection of sports, culture, and collectibles has never been more relevant,” CardVault cofounder Ed Kane said in a press release on Wednesday.
He pointed out, “Tom Brady is bringing his lifelong passion for card collecting, business acumen, brand power, and relentless pursuit of excellence to CardVault. Together, we are ready to build something truly game-changing.”
CardVault by Tom Brady is now part of Brady’s expansive business portfolio, which he’s been building rapidly since retiring from the NFL in early 2023. (He initially retired in 2022 before returning for one more season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.)
Prior to his exit from the sport, Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to join Fox Sports as a broadcaster once he was done playing football. He made his broadcasting debut in September 2024.
