Celebrities often live in a bubble with private planes, limousines, and other luxury accommodations, but they still gave to put their socks in something, and Margot Robbie, Jessica Chastrain, Chris Pratt and many others use everyday items just like us while traveling. Not only that, but you can find them on Amazon for not that much money! I’ve compiled some of the top celebrity travel essentials that the stars can’t do without.
1. Kyle Richards: Let’s face it. When you’re traveling, you might not always look your best. That’s not stopping Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards, though. Page Six says that she uses L’Oréal Paris magic root cover up to touch up her roots while traveling.
2. Eva Longoria: While Longoria was traveling earlier this month, InStyle saw her sporting an all-black look while at the airport. However, the star of the show is an oversized black bomber jacket. While we’re not sure the exact brand, you can get a similar look and style on a budget.
3. Bear Grylls: The reality star may do some crazy things but at least he’s prepared for his wild adventures hunting bears. Smarter Travel says that Bear recommends Osprey Daylite Daypack to withstand any outdoor adventure. It comes in 11 colors and has a multi-function interior for a water reservoir or tablet.
4. Rob Gronkowski: For his workout jams, the broadcaster and retired NFL star uses Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earbuds, according to Smarter Travel. Because they have hooks that wrap around your ear, they won’t fall out like other earbuds.
5. Questlove: The famous drummer may get suited and booted for his performances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but when he’s traveling, Questlove told Thrillist that his Crocs are a must-have.
I feel like Crocs are about as close as you can get to fuzzy bunny rabbit slippers and the feeling of walking on your rug at home barefoot, on a plane.
6. Jessica Alba: Because of the higher altitude, recirculated air and possibly a few in-flight cocktails, staying extra hydrated is important while traveling. To achieve this, Smarter Travel says that Jessica uses an electrolyte drink mix to stay hydrated while flying.
7. Serena Williams: When it comes to health and fitness, Serena Williams is a proper resource. According to Smarter Travel, Serena uses compression socks to help with swelling, especially as you retain water on a flight.
8. Chris Pratt: To go from Andy in Parks and Recreation to Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, you’ve got to do some cardio. Smarter Travel shows that Chris recommends the Adidas Ultraboost X running shoe when he’s traveling, likely getting in a tough workout when he can.
9. Bella Hadid: Back in 2021, The Zoe Report mentioned that Bella Hadid was rocking a pair of Apple Airpods while going through an airport.
10. Emilia Clarke: The British actress and Game of Thrones star takes her appearance very seriously when she’s traveling. In fact, she’s told Subtl Beauty that she always packs a full makeup kit like this one here when she’s away from home traveling.
I always pack my full kit and I can’t do it any other way.
11. Blake Lively: Back in 2023, we saw Blake sporting a black cut-out one-piece bathing suit while on vacation. We’re not sure the exact brand but this one looks almost identical and is less than $40!
12. Kate Middleton: Kate may be busy being part of the British Royal family, but that doesn’t mean she can’t look cute and comfortable. Travel + Leisure mentioned that she was spotted wearing white canvas Superga sneakers while traveling. Not bad for around $75!
13. Jessica Chastain: To fight dryness when travelling, Jessica Chastain uses rosewater hydrating facial mist like this one from Heritage store. Jessica told Subtl Beauty that it helps keep her skin moist during flights.
I think it’s important not to wear too much heavy makeup on planes. Also, since the air in plane cabins is really dry, I’m someone that spritzes rosewater a lot.
14. Gwyneth Paltrow: According to her brand Goop, she posted that she uses eye masks while on a plane in 2024. She even posted a selfie with the masks on! She didn’t mention which ones she uses, but they do look similar to those from Grace & Stella.
15. Margot Robbie: The Barbie star may have natural beauty, but she’s still a human being like the rest of us. She told Subtl Beauty that while she uses makeup in the airport, she uses wipes to remove it as soon as she’s on the plane. She didn’t mention which brand but my wife swears by these wipes from Neutrogena.
You have to wear makeup when you’re going through the airport, but then when I’m on the plane, I take my makeup off using wipes.
